The cyber world is expanding widely and people connected to this rises rapidly resulting in producing the huge volume of data. The capability of collecting the information from huge amount of data becomes complicated. Technologies improving continuously, cyber criminals are also expanding quickly. The changes in the technologies create new challenges related to data security and security analysts. Big Data Analytics technology came into focus with an aim of collecting, storing and processing huge amount of data used for later study. Utilizing the Big Data Analytics techniques in Cyber Security, attacks are detected, threats are analysed and provides security to the information from cyber related attacks. Big Data approaches used for minimizing the data breaches and also improve the recovery process if an attack happened. The main aim to propose a BACADA is to deal with huge volumes of data, establish data quality control process and identify the reliable information sources. In this paper, the architecture proposed for Cyber Security applications such as DDoS attacks, in this the attacks are detected and analysed for better decision making related to security activities by using machine learning attack detection methods. This study's primary objective is to assess the different Big Data Analytics models to utilize in cyber security. The changes in the technologies create new challenges related to data security and data privacy.
