Background: High levels of occupational noise exposure remain a global concern. Over 30 million workers are exposed to hazardous noise, causing cellular stress and potentially leading to noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Noise exposure increases the expression of the cellular stress marker HSP70-1, which can be detected in blood samples.
