This article deals with understanding Asthma in detail with relevant pathophysiology, predisposing factors, epidemiology in India, different types of Asthma with clinical signs and symptoms, diagnostics and treatment. Also, in this article we have made a point to associate the relevance of Boenninghausen’s Therapeutic Pocket Book (BTPB) in the cases suffering from asthma with few key indicated medicines that have been mentioned under appropriate headings that relate to signs and symptoms of patients suffering from asthma.
