Abstract

The loss of dental health that comes with getting older has a major effect on the QoL of the elderly as a whole. Discomfort in eating, communicating, and interacting with others can result from missing teeth, which in turn can cause emotional and physical strain [1]. When it comes to restoring oral function, aesthetics, and self confidence in senior patients, prosthetic dentistry is essential [2]. This field encompasses removable dentures, fixed dental prostheses, and implant-supported prostheses. Geriatric dental care is becoming increasingly important in Pakistan due to the country's aging population. This is especially true in urban areas like Peshawar, where specialized dental facilities are few [3]. Research on the effects of prosthetic dentistry on the quality of life of the elderly in this area is sparse, despite recent advances in the field. With the use of reliable evaluation instruments, this research intends to determine how prosthetic rehabilitation affects the quality of life of elderly patients in Peshawar.
