Background: Thyroid disorders, the second commonest endocrine disorders, often present as solitary or multinodular goiter.1 Lobectomy has been generally recommended as an optimal surgical approach for symptomatic unilateral goiter, toxic adenoma, cytologically indeterminate nodule. Aim of the study: this study was aimed to evaluate the incidence and risk factors for postoperative hypothyroidism in patients who underwent thyroid lobectomy in Elwehda Hospital, Derna University.
